Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 18, 2026 Last updated: October 18, 2026

Elizabeth Ann Interiors, LLC ("EAI," "we," "us," or "our") is an interior design business serving Chicagoland. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit elizabethanninteriors.com (the "Site") or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Your home is personal. So is the information you share about it. We collect only what we need, we never sell it, and we handle it with care.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us.

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and project address.

  • Project details you share through the Site's contact form, email, or calls: descriptions of your home, photos of your space, budget ranges, and preferences.

  • Newsletter sign-up information (usually your name and email address), if you choose to subscribe.

  • Messages and anything else you choose to send us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our website platform (Squarespace) collects basic analytics such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and general location (such as city). This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies.

Payments. We do not process payments through the Site. If we invoice you for services, payment is handled separately under your design agreement.

Information we do not want. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or health information through the Site or email. We do not need them to design your home.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and schedule calls or sessions.

  • To provide design services you request, under a separate written agreement.

  • To send our newsletter and updates, only if you have signed up or asked to hear from us.

  • To understand how people use the Site and improve it.

  • To protect the Site, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do their job. These currently include:

  • Squarespace, which hosts the Site and provides its built-in analytics and forms.

  • Google, which provides our email service (elizabeth@elizabethanninteriors.com).

  • Professional advisors, such as our accountant or attorney.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of EAI or others. If EAI is ever sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy.

Vendors, contractors, and showrooms involved in your project are covered by your design agreement. We will not share your address or project details with them without your knowledge.

4. Photos of your home and portfolio use

We will never publish photos of your home, your name, or details that identify your location on the Site, in our portfolio, or on social media without your written permission. Photos you send us for design purposes are used only for your project unless you agree otherwise. You may withdraw permission for future use at any time by contacting us, though we cannot recall content already shared publicly by others.

5. Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use two kinds.

Essential cookies keep the Site working, such as remembering your cookie choice and supporting security and basic functions. These are always on because the Site needs them.

Non-essential cookies help us understand how visitors find and use the Site, such as which pages are viewed and where traffic comes from. These are optional. When you first visit, you can accept them, decline them, or choose by category, and you can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings on the Site or in your browser.

If you decline non-essential cookies, the Site will still work fully. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Where our tools support them, we honor these signals.

6. Social media and third-party links

The Site links to platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. These platforms have their own privacy practices, and we do not control them. If you interact with us on social media, the platform's policy governs that interaction. We encourage you to read it.

7. Email and newsletter

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message or by emailing elizabeth@elizabethanninteriors.com. We will still send service-related messages if you are an active client. Our emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.

8. How long we keep information

We keep inquiry information for as long as it is useful to respond to you and follow up. We keep client and financial records for as long as needed for business, tax, and legal purposes (generally up to seven years). You may ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those legal obligations.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including the security features of our website and email providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you

  • Correct or update it

  • Ask us to delete it

  • Opt out of marketing emails

Illinois does not currently have a general consumer privacy statute, but we extend these choices to every visitor. If you live in a state or country with its own privacy rights (such as California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests as the law requires. We will respond within 45 days.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International visitors

We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed here. If you visit from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
